- Sunrooms – Not needed for cooler climate locations
- Outdoor Fireplaces – Not needed for warmer climate locations
- Outdoor Kitchens – Expensive duplication
- Laminate Kitchen Countertops – Granite is more popular
The National Association of Home Builders also released the top 3 amenities every contractor and rehabber should put into a home. These amenities are popular as they will make the house feel more inviting and make living easier for homeowners .
- Laundry Rooms & Walk-in Closets – Save time and make living easier
- Energy Efficient Windows, Appliances and Thermostats – Save money on utilities
- High Ceilings on the First Floor – Make room feel more inviting
